A Walk

Leon has recovered from the rebellion of his body. He has inevitably come to the gardens, specifically beside the Vampire's Heart. He bends down & pick one of them, "I can deal with the physical pain Lyd!" he sobs, "It's the fact that I relive that day over & over again! Whoever said that time heals all needs throttled!" tears are flowing freely down his face. "The guilt, the void in my heart.... it hurts so much! You shouldn't have healed me! I was just a seventh son of a seventh son, just a magus, just an assassin!" he crushes the flower as a new round of sobs echo through the garden, "You shouldn't have taken my place, it's been 6 year since you did! 6 years since you died!..... 6 years since I killed you! We were getting married the next day!" hes sobs echo throughout the gardens, "Princess Lydia of Atlantis..... my love! I miss you terribly!"

Katherine is walking in the garden when she hears the sobs and the voice of a man. She feels very sorry for him, so she starts to sing the song that always cheered up her father as she walks up closer to the man, soon finding that it is Leon.

Leon hears singing & looks around & sees Kate, "Ah Kate." he stands, "I.... um.... did you hear any of that?" he stammers embarrassed. ""You have a great voice by the way!

Katerine nodded to both. "I heard you and thank you. You really loved your princess, didn't you?"

"Yeah! Although we hated each other to start with!" he smiles fondly, "She gave me this scar, the only person to ever hurt me in a fight! And she beat me too!" he laughs, "A fight over her stealing from me, I was such a child back then! It's all in the far past yet I can't move on as long as I have these attacks.... & I don't want anyone to heal me."

"Why would you not want anyone to heal you?" she looks at him confused.

"My body was badly damaged when I was poisoned!" he says, "The magic required to heal that is tremendous & only the Atlantian Royals could live through that spell. Sadly though they are probably all dead!" he removes the black wing necklace, "This belonged to Lydia, she said it had a twin, a white wing if I can find the person with the other wing they should be able to heal me."

She looks at the necklace. "It's so beautiful," she says and lightly touches it.

"And nothing but a stain on my memory!" he said, "If I hadn't given it to her.... her magic wouldn't have awakened & she would be alive!!"

She put her hand down back to her side and looked Leon in the eyes. "I'm deeply sorry for your loss."

"I hate when people say that! Like it's their fault." he says, "I'm the only one to blame..... How is Helios?" he says changing the subject.

"I believe he will be fine....You shouldn't act as if you are the only one that lost a loved one."

"I'm not.... I'm the only one that constantly contributed to events that ultimately resulted in there death" he says, "And the Princess? How is she?"

He walks in the garden unarmed and said "She is sick with a fever but she is fine ans she is resting"

"Has the apothecary been to see her?"

"Yes they are trying all they can but she just needs to rest"

She nods. "Is there another reason you are out her unarmed, Sir Helios?"

"It's good to hear that she is getting better!" he says, "Perhaps when you are fully heal, we can test each others metal?"

"I feel no need to have my weapons with me"

"I am feeling better now the wound is fully healed"

"That's interesting," she says and then looks up at the sky. "It is getting late."

"Its a nice time for a small spar in the court yard do you not agree Leon?"

Katherine sighed. "I believe it is a nice time to go inside and eat before all the food is gone."

"You may go eat Ms.Kate"

"Yes it would be!" he says, "What type of sword do you use?"

"I will not leave you two alone out here."

"Why not Ms.Kate" He wonders

"Because you are men and you may hurt each other."

"I use my trusted Board Sword that has seen many battles"

"Good I was hoping you didn't use a claymore.... then my katanas would be next to nothing!" he says in relief.

He laughs "I do but only in battle do i use my Claymore"

"As do I Helios, it's far faster to kill more people easily!" he says, "Shall we go?"

"I'm going with you men."

"Are you sure?" Leon asks, "One of us may die if the worst happens!"

"Thus the reason why I must come."

"Nothing will happen its only a friendly Spar My Lady"

"Then use wooden swords."

"We can not My Lady now a true show of skill"

She sighed. "Are all men like this?"

"why do you ask?"

"Yes!" Leon laughs, "Wooden swords have little killing intent behind them hence the bladed swords!"

"So I know if I want to marry a man."

"Shall we get going Leon?"

"Yes Helios let us go!", he says, "& kate men are usually different when in love!"

He laughs as leon says that

Katherine just sighed. "How much different do they act?"

"All men act different while in love as Leon said"

"How different?"

"Cant really tell you"

"Why?"
