Reading in Peace

"You dont have to pay me back i am fine with spending my money on you" He walks up next to her

Still. It feels wierd. She picked up a necklace off of the table. It was a intricate cross with a red stone in the middle.

"That is called the cross of Jesus. The stone is said to be his petrified blood." The sales lady told her. She nodded.

I like it, it is stunning.

He nods and smiles at her "Take it Ms lilli It will look absolutly dashing on you"

She nodded and put it around her neck. It hung off her neck. The cross sat positioned right over where her heart beat in her chest. I wish to leave this shop. Maybe it was the excitement of being outside of the castle walls. She felt slightly tired. She knew that she could go on for a few more hours before she would need to sleep.

"Ok Ms.Lilli let us go" He takes her hand lightly and walks outside

Lilli walked effortless with him. She didn't care what they did at this point. She was enjoying the area.

He smiles as he walks to the next store which happens to be a small resturant

She smiled and walked with him. She entered the place of food. She was willing to just follow him to wherever he wanted to go.

She nodded slightly. Sometimes the things she did made her appear younger than she was. Her nodding habit was one of those things. "A little."

He smiles "You can order what you need i can pay for it" He said smiling to her

She shook her head. Another movement that made her seem like a child. No, I couldn't let you. You already bought me a necklace. She said touching the cross hanging around her neck.

"No its fine i still have enough money for you Lilli" He smiles and nods

She shook her head again. No, I have plenty of money.

He places his hand on her shoulder "No its fine Ms.Lilli"

She nodded as she gave up on it. Fine.

He smiles and notices his hand on her shoulder and he blushes and looks away

She smiled after oticing his reaction. Why are you so shy around me? Do I intimidate you?

"No Ms.Lilli its just that i never had the pleasure of meeting and talking to a princess"

She smiled. You lived in the castle where I live for seven years. I remember crossing your path several times. It helps when you think of me as your equal. I do.

"But then i didnt know who you were till the day i was knighted" He sighs as he says that

She laughed. That was a flaw of the system. You didn't treat me higher than you back then. You treated me like your equal. That is all I ask. I wish to be normal for once.

"Well you are equal to me but its not right for me to treat a royal like a normal person when they should be treated better"

She smiled. Always the noble gentleman.

"Im no noble i really wish i was" He looks down

He bows ans says "I thank you very much this means alot to me it really does"

She covered her face. Stop bowwing. You would think you would be happy to not bow to me.

"I know but you know its my duty kinda" he says calmy

She smiled. It is also your duty to follow orders. I don't want you bowing to me unless we are not alone.

She smiled mischeiviously. Habits can be broken.

She smiled sweetly. I'm not as rambunctious as I used to be. But I am still a bit rebellious.

She smiled. Not exactly. I have hidden in the castle to avoid my lady's maids. Hidden from my father. Snuck out of my room at all hours of the night. Not to mention all of my mother's jewels being taken and hidden in my room.

She smiled.Well, I am capable of doing that and more. I have recently conned one of the stable boys to teach me to ride a horse.

She laughed. My beauty and a few gold coins to keep quiet.

She smiled seductively at him. I wish for you to teach me to use a weapon. I need to be able to defend myself if something was to happen. Okay, not her best attempt ever but it was a start.
